Staff training and development is one of the significant functions of modern management of an organization that implements the concept of continuing education and is one of the most crucial tasks. Highly qualified personnel is a requirement of the modern medical services market. The article discusses the theoretical aspects of staff training and development on the example of a healthcare institution. The general characteristics of the healthcare institution are given and the current system of training and development of secondary medical personnel is described. The results of a survey of the organization's employees in order to identify their attitude to training and development, as a result of which the problematic points of the organization of training events, as well as their thematic content, are revealed. A number of proposals have been formulated to improve the existing system of training and development of nurses.
