Analysis and problems of financing the education system at the regional level

The research paper focuses on the difficulties faced by the system of financial support for education at both the national and regional levels, primarily due to insufficient funding and insufficiently strict supervision of spending. After analyzing the financial resources for education in the Omsk region, it was found that despite significant investments in this area, the number of educational institutions is decreasing, which is explained by a decrease in the number of students and students, which, in turn, leads to the closure of educational institutions. The revealed trends and difficulties in financing the educational system in the Omsk region should stimulate a review of financial mechanisms and public policy both at the national and regional levels. The article suggests ways to improve the financing of education.
