Vortex sonic flowmeters are widely used in the housing and communal services field due to their low sensitivity to the quality of the medium. But at low flow rates the stability of the vortex shedding process decreases and as a result the flow measurement error increase. The article describes the measurement equation model received on the basis of the standard experimental test two types of vortex sonic flowmeters nominal diameters: 32 and 50 mm. According to other experimental data measurement equation model was improved and verified for the three types of flowmeters diameters (including 25 mm). As a result of the research shows the fundamental possibility of reducing the measurement error at low flow rates from 3 % (passport) to 0.5 %.
