Analysis of the tourism industry of the Kyrgyz Republic

This article analyses the development of tourism and its prospects in Kyrgyzstan. The purpose of this analysis is to study the arrival of international tourists in the country since its independence in, the economic impact of the tourism sector on the overall GDP, the country's rating and the image of the destination. The image of the destination plays a significant role in the choice of many travellers. However, today Kyrgyzstan does not have a strong image that could be associated with the destination. Moreover, it is sometimes difficult to discern the uniqueness of Kyrgyzstan, especially with regard to its geographical position as the middle part of the Great Silk Road. In our study, we conducted an empirical study of the distance image of the first visitors in order to measure the image of Kyrgyzstan as a tourist destination.
