Analysis of changes in electrification projections under international energy agency scenarios

This article provides a comparative analysis of several scenario indicators on generation and consumption of electricity in global energy balance. It is based on the World Energy Outlook 2021 and World Energy Outlook 2022 released by the International Energy Agency (IEA). The result of the study is an evaluation of both the statistics presented and the numbers calculated on their basis for better representation of current changes. The relevance of the article lies in the economic shocks of 2022, which by now required adjustments in the targets of sustainable development scenarios and, hence, caused the need to assess the changes for the period up to 2050.
