The purpose of research is to study the effectiveness of the traditional treatment regimen for acute postpartum endometritis in cows on the farm. Objectives - to conduct a retrospective analysis of the spread of obstetric and gynecological diseases in the dairy industry; to determine the incidence of acute postpartum endometritis of cows on the farm; to identify the therapeutic efficacy of the applied scheme for the treatment of acute endometritis in freshly calved cows. The study was conducted in a dairy farm in the Balakhtinsky District of the Krasnoyarsk Region. The object of the study is red-and-white cows. A retrospective analysis of the spread of obstetric and gynecological diseases in cows was carried out. At the time of the study, the number of animals with obstetric and gynecological diseases was registered: in 2019 - 25.2 %; in 2020 - 21.5 % of the total number of cows. It has been established that endometritis is the most common - 72.1-77.9 % of the total number of sick animals. The dynamics of the incidence of cows with acute postpartum endometritis was studied, which was: in 2019 - 16.4 %, in 2020 - 15.3 % of the number of calving cows. To identify the therapeutic efficacy of the applied traditional scheme for the treatment of endometritis, a group of cows was formed in the amount of seven animals with signs of catarrhal-purulent endometritis. All identified sick cows were treated in the maternity ward. The therapeutic efficacy of the applied traditional scheme for the treatment of acute endometritis in freshly calved cows with a single application gives a clinical recovery of animals in 85.7 % of cases. However, in 28.6 % of the treated cows, a subclinical form of endometritis was subsequently registered, which reduces the effectiveness of the applied scheme to 57.1 % and prolongs the service period by 7.7 %.
