The article analyzes the relevance and effectiveness of the use of mathematical modeling methods in the modern economy. Also, in the article the basic stages of the process of mathematical modeling, classical economic problem that can be solved using this method. The article presents arguments proving the need to use mathematical modeling techniques as an integral part of effective management of the enterprise.
