Analysis of the quality of life in children after penetrating wounds of the cornea with crystalline lens damage in Kyrgyzstan

Eye injuries are one of the most serious and urgent problems in ophthalmology today. It is due to the high level of eye injuries and its complications. The consequences of eye injuries are still one of the main causes of blindness and disability. The aim of this work is the development of measures to improve the quality of life of children with penetrating wounds of the cornea and injured lens based on the optimization of treatment and rehabilitation. In accordance with the goal, the following tasks were developed: to study the parameters of children’s quality of life with penetrating corneal wounds and injured lens and healthy children of the same age using the Russian version of the General questionnaire PedsQL4.0 Generic Core Scales; and also, to compare the quality of life children with complicated penetrating wounds of the cornea after surgical treatment and healthy children.
