Analysis of the Chinese press for the study of modern Chinese history

The article examines the history of the development of modern newspapers, the role and application of historical materials of newspapers and periodicals in the study of the modern history of China. The purpose of the study is to study and analyze the evolution and development of the press in China. The history of the modern press is a very rich gold mine that needs to be developed with various new views, theories and methods. The modernization of cultural communication in the content of the modern Chinese press is characterized by a growing awareness of the role of the media in social progress, practical participation in the formation of national policy and social development. Results. Currently, there is a need for a mass communication system that can become a means of awakening people's social activity, developing their worldview and displaying creative abilities. The most effective may be a multi-level network of magazines and newspapers, created on the basis of a civic initiative, supported by the state and covering all groups of people through the use of modern technologies and taking into account rich experience. It is necessary to combine newspaper materials with other historical materials, domestic publications with foreign ones in order to conduct a more comprehensive and in-depth study of history.
