Linguistic research focused on modern linguistic phenomena requires a wide coverage of speech data to improve the accuracy of the results. One of the key tools in this field is corpus linguistics, which originated in the 1960s as a method for analyzing text in context. Over time, its application has been extended to various languages, including Chinese, which has contributed to the creation of specialized databases and in depth study of language structures. The paper reviews the theoretical foundations of corpus linguistics, its elements and software solutions such as AntConc, with a focus on the analysis of Chinese terminology. Particular attention is paid to AntConc’s capabilities in processing hieroglyphic texts, including segmentation, collocation and frequency pattern detection, as well as its role in intercultural research. The article highlights how AntConc effectively overcomes specific challenges of the Chinese language, such as the absence of spaces between words and weak morphology, providing a reliable basis for linguistic analysis. Using examples of analyzing literary works (e.g., Lu Xin’s story “Motherland”) and comparing Chinese and US corporate values, it demonstrates how the tool allows decoding cultural codes through statistical and contextual methods. The article substantiates the universality of AntConc for working with isolating languages and confirms its status as an indispensable tool for modern intercultural and cognitivelinguistic research, opening up new perspectives in the field of digital humanities.
