The analysis of the concept of "sin" in the Russian language picture of the world on the material of fiction

In this article we analyzed the concept of «sin» and identify the main trends of its functioning. The material for investigation was the Russian literature of different periods: from the classical period to postmodernity. The major trend inherent in the concept of «sin» - «the secularization of the concept», characterized by the change of the lexical meaning of a word or its connotation, bringing to the fore the components of the non-religious sense.
