Analysis of typewritten captions in digital historical album

The article contains description of the basic approaches instrumental in constructing a search system for the highly specialized digital collection allowing for textual errors. The method is based on the image collection of the White Sea-Baltic Canal construction. The proposed techniques can be used in other projects related to historical documents’ processing.
