Analysis of models, technical characteristics and design features of breeding and seed-growing combine harvesters

The article presents a description of twenty-four models of breeding and seed-growing combine harvesters from nine manufacturing companies: “Wintersteigerˮ, “Sampo-Rosenlewˮ, “Zürn Harvestingˮ, “HALDRUPˮ, “ALMACOˮ, “Kincaid Equipment Mfgˮ, “Bauralˮ, “Federal Scientific Agroengineering VIM Centerˮ, “Omsk Experimental Plantˮ. During the research, it was established that the market for selection harvesting equipment today is represented to a greater extent by models from foreign manufacturers. The presented models of breeding combines are mostly equipped with a hydrostatic transmission and a quick-release header of various widths, systems for preventing mixing, weighing, sampling and measuring the humidity of the harvested crop. In principle, combines differ among themselves in the presence of additional equipment and technical characteristics. In the course of the research, a comparative analysis of the technical characteristics of the presented machines was carried out on the basis of data published on official websites. The following parameters were selected for comparison: engine power, fuel tank capacity, travel speed, cleaning area and grain tank capacity. The engine power rating of the models in question ranges from 15 to 160 kW. Fuel tank capacity from 45 to 465 liters, travel speed from 16 to 25 km/h, cleaning area from 0.65 to 2.7 m2, grain tank capacity from 365 to 7000 liters. It has been established that the most powerful engine (160 kW) is installed on the HALDRUP CTS-95 Twin Shaker combine. The Zürn 170 combine has the largest cleaning area - 2.7 m2. All presented combine models provide high-quality harvesting without mixing varieties. At the same time, some models provide processing of two sections at once in one pass.
