Analysis of development and modernization trends of the aviation industry in Russia

On the background of the lingering general economic crisis in the country, there is no significant increase in passenger traffic in aviation associated with the influx of new passengers. Furthermore, despite the successes achieved, the Russian aviation industry is going through hard times. The basis for determination of development prospects of the industry is the theory of markets organization, which involves in-depth study of market structures, clear understanding of interdependencies in the activities of branches and enterprises, and the study of the ability and the need for government intervention in the market relations. The article describes the current state and the factors of civil aviation development in Russia, analyses the ways of aviation industry modernization.
