Analysis of Key Indicators and Risks of IT Sector Enterprise Activity

The aim of the study is a comprehensive analysis of key performance indicators and risks of Russian IT sector enterprises for 2024–2025. The research methodology is based on a systematic approach, including the analysis of up-to-date statistical reports, industry monitoring data, regulatory legal acts and relevant publications. A systematic assessment of financial and operational metrics, dominant business models, as well as key factors of the external and internal environment was carried out. Particular attention is paid to systemic challenges: personnel deficit reaching 500–700 thousand specialists, growing operational expenses against a background of 10–15% annual cost increases, strengthening regulatory burden in the area of critical information infrastructure (CII) and personal data protection, as well as escalation of cyber threats. It has been identified that more than half of Russian corporations have increased cybersecurity budgets by 20–40%, which indicates growing threat awareness. The practical significance of the work lies in the development of specific strategic directions and recommendations for enhancing the resilience of IT companies, including implementation of mature management methodologies, utilization of state benefits, and proactive security measures, which allows for the formation of an effective risk management system in the conditions of a dynamic industry environment.
