The article provides a comprehensive analysis of modern trends and prospects for the use of solar panels in various sectors of the economy, including the transport, road, solar and agricultural sectors. It has been indicated that solar energy programs have already been adopted in more than 70 countries of the world due to the fact that our planet has long overdue concern about the exhaustibility of fossil energy resources. That is why the main attention is paid to the prospects of using solar panels for generating electricity on an industrial scale. The analytical study was conducted based on real factors that help objectively assess future paths of solar energy development. Dismantled many existing and promising designs and devices. It is shown that mobile and locally used small solar generators are still more cost-effective than large solar power plants. Everything is explained by the insufficiently high average efficiency of the existing solar batteries, the high cost of solar energy and the problem of the dangerous for the environment production and disposal of solar panels and batteries. It was agreed that the greatest successes in the production and operation of solar generators have so far been achieved in Germany, China, and the USA. Thanks to Chinese developments, the price of solar energy is steadily decreasing. The world leader in the disposal of solar equipment is Japan. Despite various evaluations of various solar design projects, the outlook for the development of solar energy remains favorable.
