The article is devoted to analysis of domestic and foreign experience on the basis of clarification of the terms "competitiveness" and "competitive advantage" for organizations of wholesale trade. The obtained results allow to better reveal the essence of economic categories in the field of competitiveness and create preconditions for more effective management.
