Analyzing the digital space of manufacturing industry practice in the Russian Federation

The relevance of the study is due to the emergence of digital transformation, which changes the economy and society, increasing the gap between countries in their economic development. These trends require study at the level of both business and government in order to ensure balance in national development strategies. The purpose of this study is to analyze the practice of functioning of the digital space of industry in the Russian Federation, identifying the problems and opportunities for its development. The introduction of a unified digital space predetermines the transformation of processes and models of relationships between participants in the value chain of industrial products. The most effective forms of organizing the practical use of digital technologies are platform solutions. The article analyzes the domestic practice of functioning of the digital space of industry on the example of its realization in the State Information System of Industry (“GISP”). “GISP” is an instrument where various mechanisms, services and institutions of development and support of domestic industry are aggregated. The problems of “GISP” implementation concerning its functioning in the conditions of comprehensive digitalization are considered. Based on the results of the study, the directions for the development of a unified digital space of industry based on integrated platform solutions and the realization of ecosystem interaction are proposed.
