Analysis of the reasons of unemployment and its negative consequences in modern Russia

This article reveals the essence, the consequences of unemployment and the necessary measures to resolve this economic phenomenon. The relevance of the topic under study is that “unemployment” is an epidemic of today, and is an integral element of life that has a significant impact not only on the socio-economic, but also the political situation in the country. Based on the analysis, an assessment is made of the unemployment rate in Russia for the period from 1992 to 2019. The main causes of unemployment are identified. The data on the types of activities in the Russian Federation are presented. The structure of the employed population aged 15 to 72 years by type of economic activity is revealed. The maximum unemployment rate was determined for 10 constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as well as the effect of unemployment on the emergence of such a negative factor as crime. Based on the analysis revealed the consequences of the existence of unemployment. A set of measures has been formed to reform the sphere of employment.
