Analysis of sales of seeds of Russian breeding varieties on the Russian spring soft wheat market in 2023

The article presents an analysis of sales of seeds of varieties of Russian selection on the Russian spring soft wheat market in 2023. Seed sales volumes for all Russian varieties were analyzed, the ten most common varieties were identified, for which a separate analysis of the volumes and structure of seed sales was carried out, including by cultivation regions and federal districts of Russia. Based on the results of the studies, conclusions were drawn about a high level of consolidation of the Russian market segment, which poses certain threats to the production sector, since the less diverse the set of cultivated varieties is, the greater the risks producers face due to the possible influence of unfavorable production conditions.
