Analysis of the diversity of the aquatic flora of the Volga basin

The article presents materials summarizing the composition of the aquatic flora of reservoirs and watercourses of the Volga basin: taxonomic structure; indicators of phytodiversity; characteristics of the composition of families according to the number of genera, species and hybrids, the leading families and genera of the analyzed flora are indicated; the ecological spectrum of aquatic flora in a comparative aspect with that of the European part of Russia and the Russian Federation is given; the analysis of rare species of the regional Red Data Books of the hydrophilic component of flora for the territories of the Upper, Middle and Lower Volga region is given. The conditions under which the creation of the Red Data Book of the Volga basin is possible are considered. A complete floral list is provided, taking into account hybrid taxa by family, indicating the ecological groups of plants found in the European part of Russia and the Volga basin.
