Analysis of energy industry development in the Russian Federation

The article deals with the historical aspects of the development of the energy industry in Russia. The analysis of the dynamics of electricity consumption in Russia for the period 2008-2016 is also presented. The study presents the structure of the installed capacity of power plants of unified energy systems and UES of Russia. Methods of state regulation of energy are studied. In conclusion, the author suggests the directions of the development of the Russian energy industry based on its problem at the present stage.
