Based on the "Blinder - Oaxaca decomposition" method

This article is devoted to the prospects for developing trade in Primorsky Krai. It looks at the state of wholesale and retail trade, and the structure of the trade market in the region, which has been developed according to the objectives adopted by the Russian government in Federal Law No. 381 on 28 December 2009. Wholesale and retail trade turnover is analyzed and, based on statistical analysis using the «Blinder - Oaxaca Decomposition» method, the degree of increase in trade turnover in the Primorsky Krai is revealed. The importance of demographic, economic and competitive factors on the degree of increase in wholesale and retail trade turnover is determined. As a result, Primorsky Krai needs a strategy to provide labor in the field of trade, including an increase in the purchasing power of the population for the development of domestic trade
