Analysis of the leasing market in Russia in modern conditions

The formation and recognition of leasing in Russia has been going on for 30 years: from the complete absence of legislation to the adoption of the Federal Law “On Financial Leasing” dated 29.10.1998 No. 164. In Russia for 2018-2022 . there is a trend of growth in the volume of new business in monetary terms by 51.15%. This is due to leasing and the conclusion of large transactions for trucks, construction, road and agricultural machinery. There is a reduction in the use of leasing services by large businesses by 24.6% and an increase in demand for leasing from small businesses by 11.7%, the development of the Russian leasing market is negatively affected by shortcomings in regulatory documents in the field of leasing, systemic problems in the economy that affect the entire business sector, including leasing activities, and immaturity of the Russian leasing market.
