Analysis of segmentation of isolines of topographic map in GIS “Panorama” for mountain areas of surkhandarya region

The article presents digital elevation models (DEM) of the mountainous terrain of the Surkhandarya region, built using the GIS "Panorama". An effective method for refining the mathematical basis of topographic maps is presented. Describes some of the problems associated with the design of the road network on the tops of hills and ridges. Particular attention is paid to the heights obtained from geodetic measurements. An analysis of the method of interpolation and isoline segmentation is given when creating a transformed raster. The most optimal polynomial for smoothing contours of topographic maps is described. It has been proven that a decrease in the length of segmentation leads to a more detailed graphic relief shape. On the example of two maps, it is proved that large-scale digital models are more accurate than small-scale ones. The developed digital maps can be used in engineering and survey work on the borders of administrative regions and neighboring republics.
