The paper is devoted to the construction and analysis of Lindenmayer systems using Markov systems. The implementation of the context-free deterministic and stochastic Lindenmayer systems is considered. It is shown how the methods of analyzing Markov systems can be applied to the estimation of the growth functions of Lindenmayer systems.
