Analysis of complex procedure - fuel consumption management for «Yamal» geostationary spacecraft

Бесплатный доступ

On the ninth of August 2010, after successful completion of its flight program and its transfer to a disposal orbit, more than 10 years of in-orbit operation of “Yamal-100" geostationary spacecraft were forcibly brought to an end. The successful completion of this mission was achieved to a large extent owing to the correct solution of the problem of efficient fuel consumption by the thrusters. This paper presents an analysis method used in the framework of “variable" methodology of thruster fuel consumption management, which enabled optimum fuel consumption in the course of the spacecraft mission.
