Analysis of the essays of the Unified State Examination in Russian in the Tver region

The article analyzes the results that were achieved by participants of the unified state examination in the Tver region in 2019-2020. The twenty-seventh examination task includes an essay-reasoning on one of the problems of the source text. The authors pay special attention to the quality of the source texts. Graduates had significant difficulties in understanding the source texts, and this circumstance caused a large number of factual errors.
