Analysis of social and economic problems of the demographic situation in the Russian Federation

The relevance of the study is due to the need to study the causes of the deterioration of the demographic situation in the country, affecting national security. The article presents data on some demographic indicators of Russia for 2018-2024, statistical data on the population taking into account migration, mortality rates for the main causes of death and data on the projected population for the period up to 2050. Analysis of trends and forecasts presents the need to make significant changes in state policy in order to avoid a significant decrease in the population.
