Russian Film Market Condition Analysis

The article presents the results of a study of the market for film production of cinematographic and television production as a single market in 2017–2019, as well as the crisis state of the industry in 2020. The objects of analysis are: the theatrical demand market taking into account the showing of Russian films abroad and its audience; cinema supply market (film production companies, film studios end the effectiveness of film projects); the television market for film screenings, including online video services; government support for the industry. The conclusions on the main issues and features of the film market development are substantiated.
