The article analyzes the current state of global online commerce, and what impact the COVID-19 pandemic had on its development. The authors consider such countries as China, the United States of America, Great Britain, the countries of the European Union, South Korea, where e-commerce is developing most rapidly. The article also examines what measures have been taken by the World Trade Organization to support business between WTO member countries. In the course of writing the work, the problems faced by world trade in 2020 were identified. Social distancing has forced everyone to go online, both buyers and sellers. That, undoubtedly, could not but affect the quality of communication, the speed of delivery of goods and even industrial production in general.
