Analysis of the current state of tourism development in the Republic of Crimea

The article examines the current state of tourism development in the Republic of Crimea. The factors of tourism development in the Republic of Crimea are described. The most popular resort cities of Crimea are highlighted. The dynamics of tourist flow and geographical structure of tourist arrivals in Crimea are analyzed. The article describes the structure of tourist flow to Crimea by country, as well as the structure of tourist flow by means of transport. The most popular goals of tourists ‘ arrival in Crimea are defined. The article describes one of the most dynamically developing industries in Crimea - the hotel industry. The assessment of the main indicators of tourist companies ‘ activity in the region and the dynamics of tax revenues of the tourist and recreational sphere of the Republic was carried out. The essence of one of the most promising types of tourism in the world - ecotourism-is revealed. Special attention is paid to the development of «green tourism» in the region. The influence of digital technologies on the development of tourism is determined. The problems of tourism development are highlighted and measures to improve it in the region are proposed. It is concluded that the solution to the problems of development of the tourism industry in the Crimea, in the future, will contribute to the creation of a competitive tourist and recreational complex not only within the Russian tourist market, but also on the international market of tourist services.
