Reliability of power supply and quality of electric energy are two main indicators of optimal functioning of enterprises and all life-supporting systems of rural settlements. Unfortunately, an analysis of the current state of rural electric networks indicates a reduction in the length of power lines and a decrease in the reliability of the consumer power supply system. Imperfec-tion of power supply schemes, wear and tear of equipment, lack of partitioning points, automa-tion tools, unskilled actions of personnel lead to the fact that the time of power outages in most cases is more than 100 hours per year, and the quality of transmitted electrical energy does not match the indicators that are set in the regulatory documentation. In order to reduce the num-ber and duration of interruptions in the power supply system, and therefore increase the relia-bility of power lines, it is advisable to use means of sectioning and reserving rural electric net-works 0.4 kV.
