Analysis of statistical data on crimes in the sphere of areas of the Irkutsky district of the Irkutsk region for the 2014-2017 year

The article is devoted to illegal logging of forest plantations that are massively manifested in all territories of Russia. Every year the number of crimes provided for by Art. 260 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal felling of forest plantations", and offenses under Art. 8.28. Administrative Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal logging, damage to forest plantations or unauthorized excavation in the forests of trees, bushes, lianas" is increasing. In the Irkutsk region of the Irkutsk region in 2017, 276 crimes were identified in the sphere of the timber industry complex, 1009.57 cubic meters of timber were withdrawn from the illegal circulation, the amount of damage caused to the state amounted to 9.9 million rubles.
