The All-Russian Agricultural Census of 2016 confirmed the need of our country to revive family farming on the land. The farmer-cooperative sector almost made up for the losses occurred during the indicated period by traditional agricultural organizations in the main indicators characterizing the development of the agricultural sector, with the exception of pork. Based on the materials of two mass accounts, it can be assumed that if the trends in the development of the private-family and large-scale organized sectors remain the same, then the production volumes in them can become equal by the next census. Small-size or small-scale peasant farms and commodity farms have great potential for the development. A very important resource has already been formed in this segment, that is the peasant family labor groups selected in the conditions of the "wild" market which have learned a lot and are highly motivated to work and prudent management. This group of farms especially needs help, and not only financial help from the state. For them, it is particularly important to create a cooperative infrastructure capable for providing information, production, economic, and financial services. Thus, overcoming these difficulties and creating favorable economic conditions for small-scale family farms and large commodity farms will allow them to increase production and expand land areas actively, which will lead to the further development of the Russian farming and cooperative sector and agriculture in general.
