The level of illumination is one of the factors of the light environment, which has a significant impact on the productivity of the bird. With the use of the cage system, the management of poultry in windowless poultry houses raises the problem of ensuring uniformity of illumination on the tiers. This problem has a negative impact on the viability and productivity of laying hens. Regardless of the chosen lighting method, one should strive for uniformity of illumination, darkened zones lead to conflict situations between individuals, in this connection productivity is reduced. Novoselov I.M. made researches of illumination in four-tier battery cage. These studies have shown that the illumination by the tiers is several times different. In accordance with the literature, when the management of adult laying hens is optimal, the illumination is 10-25 lux. In connection with this problem, a lamp designed by the employees of LLC "Reserve" is proposed. The luminaire is a profile made in the form of a half-cylinder, and uniformity of illumination is achieved by changing the number of LED rulers and the number of LEDs. Also, each LED is directed at the desired angle α1. The article gives an analysis of technical means and methods for increasing the uniformity of illumination.
