The article deals with the international tourism peculiarities in modern conditions,and it defines the basic factors influencing the tourism development. It pays specialattention to the analysis of the dynamics of international tourist arrivals on theaggregated world regions for the 1990-2000 and 2005-2015 periods. The authordeveloped the classification of factors which has positive and negative effects ontourism development and the analysis proceeds from the international tourismdevelopment.
