Article is devoted to pressing questions of informatization of institutions of higher education. Being based on results of self-inspection of activity of six high schools of culture and arts from September, 2007 till January, 2009, the author carries out the comparative analysis of their informatization level, complex analytical conclusions are drawn, recommendations of scientifically-practical character are made.
