Analysis of types and instruments of long-term investments in Russia: theory and practice

The article examines long-term investment instruments available to the population of Russia. A comparative analysis of the theoretical parameters of long-term investment instruments has been carried out. The parameters of individual investment accounts as a special tool for investing individuals are considered separately. The dynamics of the volume of deposits of individuals in the period 2015-2025 is presented and analyzed, as well as quantitative indicators of the dynamics of the volume of investments of the population in the securities market are considered. The study revealed the most attractive types of long-term investments for the population in terms of theoretical characteristics. The data obtained is compared with the actual trends of individuals’ investments in various financial instruments. The conclusion is made about the maximum investment attractiveness of bank deposits for the population, both from a theoretical and practical point of view. At the same time, the insufficient demand for investments in bonds in the practice of Russian investors has been revealed.
