An analysis of the types and amount of damage to the elements of the power supply system was made using the example of one of the regional distribution centers of the Oryol region. It is revealed that the main cause of shutoffs of the power transmission lines with voltage 6-10 kV is touching wires caused by poor adjustment of boom deflections (tilt support, misalignment of the yoke, loss of the hooks of the pillars or beams, the violation of fastening of insulation). All these defects are easy to identify when conducting an engineering inspection and their subsequent elimination by the linear forces brigades. But, given that the length of power transmission lines with voltage 6-10kV large enough to rapidly identify and correct all defects is not possible. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a hardware-software complex, which allows to remotely identify and disconnect the damaged sections of power transmission lines with voltage 6-10 kV.
