Analysis of the impact of the digital environment on the banking activities in Russia

In recent years, digital technologies have become an important part of people’s lives. Under the influence of the digitalization process, there have been significant changes in the banking system of the Russian Federation. New opportunities are opening up for banks to improve the quality of customer service, optimize internal processes through the development and implementation of digital technologies. Commercial banks occupy a leading position in the field of digitalization, therefore they are benchmarks for organizations in other industries. At present, the analysis of the impact of the digital environment on the banking industry of the Russian Federation is considered mainly from the standpoint of the achievements of banks, and issues related to the analysis of the influence of factors on the activities of commercial ones have not received sufficient coverage in scientific papers, which has led to the relevance of this topic. As part of the study, an analysis was made of the penetration of digital technologies into the banking system of the Russian Federation in terms of the availability and quality of customer service, the level of development of Russian banks in the field of introducing digital technologies using the scoring method was determined. To determine the impact of digitalization on the activities of banks in the Russian Federation, indicators of digital development, profit and performance of banks in a digital environment were calculated using the index method. Correlation-regression analysis made it possible to assess the degree of influence of digitalization on the efficiency and profitability of banks.
