Analysis of the factors' influence on the indicators of profitability of Russian leading retail companies

The article is studying influence of basic factors which affect the return on equity and return on aggregate capital of PJSC «Magnit», X5 Retail Group N.V. and PJSC «Dixy group» during the period from 2013 to 2017 years based on DuPont developed model. The analysis reviewed profitability indicators of leading Russian retail companies. It was determined that PJSC «Dixy group» was the only analized company that ended 2017 fiscal year with losses. The best return on equity was achieved by X5 Retail Group N.V. in 2017 fiscal year. The profitability of sales by net profit was the highest among the studied companies in 2017 fiscal year at PJSC «Magnit».
