Analysis of the influence of the availability of faith in god on suicidological indicators and clinical-psychological characteristics of students of senior courses of the university

This work is devoted to the study of the influence of "Faith in God" on antivitality individual profile. A group of students has been investigated, a negative answer the questionnaire: «Do you believe in God?» excluding sex (847 persons, of whom 669 made girls and 178 - boys), as well as the gender division for a more detailed identification of antivitality phenomena inside groups. Since there is a stable everyday view that faith in God protects a person from suicidal behavior it becomes a logical assumption that the lack of it contributes to the revitalization of suicidal radical personality and increases its overall autoagressive. In carrying out our research, we proceeded from the hypothesis that was confirmed by the results. In our study, it was found that the believers less likely to attend suicidal thoughts, compared to nonbelievers (22% and 30%, respectively); among the faithful young men is almost three times less than the number of young people who have a history of parasuicide, compared to nonbelievers (5% and 14%, respectively). There was no statistically significant difference between believers and unbelievers girls groups found. It is also found that respondents who believe in God have a significantly smaller number of predictors of autoaggression, which was reflected in a more detailed study of gender features within groups. During the research we have found that a lack of faith in God firmly associated with various antivitality patterns of behavior and their predictors, and revealed the existence of gender differences that characterize the autoaggressive profile of both believers and unbelievers of young people. Thus, an indication of the respondent in the absence / presence of «Faith in God» can be used to estimate the capacity and sustainability of suicidal psycho-emotional state of the individual.
