Analysis of foreign economic potential of the metallurgical industry of Russia

In this article, the concept of export potential is considered and the features of the export potential of the metallurgical industry of Russia are outlined. The analysis of the dynamics of exports of shipments of metallurgical products from Russia was carried out and the dynamics of the volume of shipped goods of its own production, works and services performed by its own forces for the extraction of metal ores and their further production were studied, especially in the context of the imposition of sanctions in 2022 on the import of a wide range of steel products from Russia. As a result, Russian metallurgical enterprises had to adapt their products to eastern markets.
