Analysis of teaching staff age structure at regional institutions

According to the example of Ukhta State Technical University (USTU) we studied teaching staff (TS) age structure at regional institutions. On the basis of factual material the tendency of teaching staff aging is described, especially male aging, the countermeasures of this tendency at USTU are shown. By means of mathematical-statistical methods we can explain the collapse of teaching staff aged 35 - 50. The numerical evaluations of lack of teaching staff at USTU for the period 1985 - 2009 are done. We discovered the linear dependence from the time (12 years period) of career development of an average teacher that goes from assistant professor to full professor that is useful to new university teachers in planning their careers.
