Analysis of foreign experience in the use of electronic criminal case in the procedural activities of the preliminary investigation and court bodies

Introduction: The article examines the foreign experience of introducing electronic criminal proceedings into criminal proceedings as part of a comprehensive multifunctional system of electronic justice on the example of such states as the USA, Canada, Italy and Spain. Materials and Methods: In the course of the study, the current foreign legislative acts and scientific publications of domestic scientists who had previously studied the topic under consideration were used. General scientific and private scientific methods of cognition of legal reality were also used, reflecting a dialectical approach to the consideration of the main issues of publication. Results: As a result of the research, the authors of the article analyze the experience of foreign countries on the introduction of electronic criminal case into the criminal justice system and the effectiveness of its use in the practical activities of the preliminary investigation and court bodies. Discussion and Conclusions: In conclusion, the authors have formulated a conclusion about the positive effect on criminal proceedings and justice in general of the introduction of the electronic criminal case system in some foreign countries. The conclusion is formulated about the need for a gradual transition to electronic justice systems in Russia.
