Analysis of foreign practice of creation and development of banking ecosystems

In the article, the author notes the well-established trend of creating their own ecosystems by many global companies, which has also affected the banking sector, whose participants are looking for new growth drivers in the face of increasing competition with non-traditional players. In this regard, the purpose of this study is to analyze the results of foreign banks’ experience of building their own ecosystems in order to identify the most promising practices in Russian realities. As part of its achievement, the main achievements in the implementation of the ecosystem strategy of such credit institutions as Royal Bank of Canada (Canada), State Bank of India (India) and DBS Bank (Singapore) were highlighted. As a result, the author concluded that most banking ecosystems, often of an open and partner nature, focus on offering products in real estate, automotive business, e-commerce and lifestyle services, as well as business services. Moreover, the example of ecosystems of the Asia-Pacific region seems to the author to be the most valuable.
