Non-invasive endovascular technologies are becoming increasingly popular in the treatment of superficial venous incompetence. In the circumstances we made classification of sapheno-femoral junction anatomical variants. Careful analysis more than 5000 cases of ultrasound examination, intraoperative findings and literature dates allowed us to make this classification. There were six bases for systematization significant for surgical treatment: great saphenous vein (GSV) outlet configuration, type of ectasia GSV outlet part, type of closest to femoral vein tributaries, presence of accessory GSV, presence of additional junction between deep and superficial veins and spacing of deep veins at zone of sapheno-femoral junction.
