Anatomical and functional changes in the lung in patients with pulmonary histiocytosis X with nodules

In 16 patients with pulmonary histiocytosis X during the CT scan, complemented research in high-resolution mode, nodules were found in the lungs. In the analysis of the parameters of respiratory mechanics and pulmonary gas exchange was found that this version of the disease is characterized by a mixed type of ventilation disorders and reduced diffusion capacity of the lungs. Disorders of gas exchange due to the increasing airflow obstruction and lung hyperinflation, which determine their severity.
