Anecdotes and fabulous M. S. Schepkin: the formation of the “improvisional” story genre on the concert estrada

The article discusses the oral work of the leading artist of the Maly Theater M. S. Shchepkin, his performance in friendly circles, as well as in intermissions and divertissements of the imperial theaters of anecdotes and stories. Traces of the stories and anecdotes of M. S. Shchepkin can be found in literature and dramaturgy of the XIX century. The article also traces the processes going from folklore forms of oral creativity to the formation and formation of an “improvisational” narrative on the concert estrada.
